SwingCal
Social dancing is a means of expression, creation, enjoyment, and gathering for communities in the 21st century. A group of Berkeley students, originating from the on-campus group Lindy on Sproul, has come together to create a class that presents social dancing from a historical and political point of view, teaches different modern forms of social dancing, and hopefully inspires students to embrace social dancing as a form of American culture.

We will be presenting a 12-week series introducing students to different forms of social swing dancing. The course includes both a Beginner I section for those new to social dancing and a Beginner II section for those wishing to further their previous dancing knowledge. No dance partner is required.

This semester, SwingCal will be held on Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm. Check out the decal website at decal.org/swing.
